Another Great family 'Babies' Shower

Aunt Cheri and Ashley threw me the nicest shower a few weeks ago! The food was fantastic and the company was even better. I love getting together with my dads side of the family and close friends! It's like a big group of best friends who haven't seen each other in a really long time...even if it's only been a week. There were about 30 people there!! I love the relationships I share with these folks.... warning LOTS of pictures and this isn't even half of em!

While the girls were doing the finishing touches to get the shower ready I fed Brin. I was practicing and yes! I do need it. Uh, thank goodness for a baby bib!!

Ashley, my BFF cousin, made me these blankets. They were the first thing she's ever made- and she gave them up to me! They really are fabulous! She made four separate balankets and then sewed them together, so the backs are every bit as gorgeous as the fronts! I started crying when I hugged her- she's amazing!

The two best friends any girl could ask for. Girls like these are so hard to find, even harder to lose, and impossible to forget. I LOOOOVE them so much! Anyone who knows them would say the very same thing! Unbelievable!

We stayed at Cheri's until 9 pm and ended up making tuna fish samiches for dinner. I especially loved that my mom and sister came in town. We sat around and talked forever... well I had to recline myself from such a super day- my Dr. would not have been so proud, But I really was careful. Everyone brought me food and made sure I stayed down most the time. I was wondering when someone was going to feed me grapes and fan me.

**When we came home I washed my face and got ready for bed but we were so excited about everything that we decided to start organzing the babies room.

Shane was so cute!...like a kid in a candy store. We had the Range Rover and Susan's rental car full of presents and he was in heaven; which gets me even more excited. He wanted to read some of the baby books we got so we really didn't get much organizing done that night. Thank you everyone who came- all those who drove and flew a long ways and my friend Lindsey, who was so pregnant even came! I wish I could have got individual pictures with each one of you! What a day! Wonderful day! I feel so blessed and loved to know so many great people and recieve many awesome gifts!!

Get In My Belly!

Twin belly at 32 Weeks!
These are mostly for my mom (and myself I guess) - she doesn't get to see my belly everyday & feels like she's missing out.... Love you mom!

I texted Shane today and told him something very bad happened. He called me immediately and I told him that I think a mama bear attacked my stomach sometime last night. Or maybe it was a whole pack of them. haha - Don't be jealous not everyone can have stretchmarks as great as me! So these days I usually never get good rest. When I run into people the first thing they all seem to want to say is... "just enjoy your sleep now" as they laugh. But then I'm thinking...."wait, what sleep?!"

At our Perinatology appt last week we learned that I am dialated and baby A's head is seriously low. The Dr. said she hasn't seen a head that low in quite awhile and couldn't believe how pleasantly comfortable she is all squished up directly into my bladder. I had to take my pants off so they could see just how low baby A really is. The Dr. swears I only have 2-3 weeks to go. Yep folks, I literally feel like I have baby between my legs. As for baby B, well she is putting pressure up on my diaphram making me breathless to get from one point to another. Especially when I use the stairs. I am completely out of breath only halfway up and need to stop for a break. It makes me feel like my parents fat dog, Roger, who also has to take stair breaks on his way up. No, but in all seriousness it's hard to complain when this is what I've wanted for sooooo long!!! I can't even explain my feelings about it. Some women I know have recently not been as lucky with their twins and my heart aches for their loss. While at the same time I'm choking with emotion over how blessed I am to have made it this far.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY --- 11/11/05 ---

It's been 3 years! I really am a lucky gal! My Life is more than great! I'm not kidding....We're less than one month away from seeing our little girls for the first time! I also never thought I could love someone more than myself. I know how funny that sounds but really- I'm just being honest. I'm the absolute happiest I've ever been!

This is the only picture we took on our Anniversary and Oh! let me please tell you what we did.....

Shane took me to a really nice restaurant and we both had great steaks. Then his mom called. She was only in town for that one night and she really wanted to see us. So we told her we'd meet up for dessert at the Thanksgiving Point exit. Not only did she pick "ICEBERG" .... but an Iceberg attached to a gas station!!! I was peeing my pants laughing when Shane pulled up as he tries to says very seriously- "anything for you baby, happy Anniversary!" I conclude: we did have a great time. That's all.

I love you Shane! You know how I feel about you and us and our life together.... (and no! I do not love the cats more than you, Foj)

I woke up this morning to a few contractions and to Shane sleeping while holding his statal nose spray and Phenerghan suppositories in hand. -- He has another migrane. My OB said I can get out of the house a few times a weeks to do something small and not active. Soooo voting is was!! Shane even rolled out of bed to have his voice heard too. I was really proud he was able to pull himself together for this.

* I remember four years ago, and more importantly eight years ago, I stayed up all night with my dad and mom waiting and waiting on the outcome. I have popcorn in my pantry, hot chocolate in the cupboards, and pumpkin pie in the fridge. I'm settling in for a long stressful night. Ahhh! I hate this! At least we voted, right?!!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was great- I was just happy as a little lark to be out of the house. We figured passing out candy was something I could do. So we went to Bill and Lynn's house because they always have a ton of trick or treaters!! We had to dress up too. It's just never an option not to! I was feeling pretty good that night and the weather was perfect! I can't remember the weather being that good in the seven years I've lived here. I was a "BUN IN THE OVEN" Baker and Shane was Ozzy. He kept walking around saying "Sharon!!?" and "I'm the prince of darkness...."
