Lake Powell!
Really fun but much much harder with two busy little ones than I thought. Really, it was alot of work and the girls never got proper naps because it's nearly impossible to keep the boat on a down low volume during the day. However this year we had the best spot we've ever had in 20 years. The sun hit at 8:30am and we got shade by 3pm. Our canyon was AMAZING!! I posted a picture of Shane with the canyon in the background below. I think Lindsey woke up the whole lake during her nighttime fits. I loved getting to know Allen and he was so cute with Rachel- carrying her on the hike because I wouldn't let her get her shoes in the babies room while they were sleeping. Vander was pretty much perfect, what a good baby! I was a total stress case; and by day 3 I think my family was planning to drown me so I eased up a bit. We had a dress up night (Shane and I dressed up as my mom and dad- it was so funny we were crying!), bingo night of course, spiritual night, kyaking, wyoming fireworks, mentos & diet coke explosions, water weenie, birthday celebrations, tubing, wakeboarding, found pirate tressure!, crafts, cliff jumping, water olympics, dancing, professional chef- JON!, hiking, dry ice bombs, mud fights, bonfires, bottle rockets, jet skiing, golf, movies, skinny dipping, you name it... we had it or did it!

This bottom middle picture I must explain. This ledge is a bit higher than it looks and Lindz can barely reach it with her finger tips. However, this little stinker of mine would grip it so tightly and then scale the wall with her feet like spiderman and get herself all the way in there. Then yell for us to get her out. I've never seen anything like her. There are no handles or anything sticking out for her to grab ahold of. She literally walks up the wall. And yes that is Shane sleeping with his Paula Abdul book he won during bingo.

No wonder she is so hyper -- you've got her drinking Mountain Dew. Maybe you should check her milk. Love and kisses

Ahh Lake Powell. There's nothing like Powell. Some of my favorite memories were the mentos and coke explosions and the treasure hunt! I have to have a copy of the pic of the girls in their blue suits on the beach...omg, so cute. Whose idea was it to have plastic spoon candles for your birthday cake anyway...so funny. I just LOVE that Malia noticed what Shane was clutching during his nap...his special bingo prize, a hardcover copy of Paula Abdul's biography!! Thank you Kimberly for that much coveted bingo prize. Fun times. Oh, and if I hadn't seen Lindsey scale the wall and get inside that cubby I wouldn't believe that she could do such a thing. Whoa girl.
