Nursery Time

This post is boring for mostly all of you but I want to write it down. The ladybugs went to Nursery for the first time yesterday. They are 22 months but due to certain circumstances they have never been until now. When I remember yesterday I laugh out loud, because at the time I didn't realize it, but Shane and I took turns checking on them almost the entire two hours. We only had a few moments when we were actually teaching our class at the same time. One of us would come back and tell the other what was going on like it was Christmas. We took so much joy in watching our children through the peep hole when they didn't know we were there. When we first dropped them off Ashton cried and cried her little eyes out long enough that I almost went back in there. But overall they did GREAT for their first time. The leaders said they were impressed. A few things I want to remember:

*Ashton was very focused on coloring
*They actually didn't play together (which surprised me) but they played nicely with everyone.
*Ashton like to play toss with a bouncy ball and walked around with it most of the time.
*A few times I heard the teacher say 'clean up time' and my girls were the first ones cleaning and Lindsey was also the very last one cleaning up as well.
*When the teacher was vacumning with that quiet sweeper thing, next thing you know is Linny comes in view with another vacumm right behind the teacher.
*Ashton shared her ball with a boy when he was crying.
*Lindsey rearranged all the little chairs and put them back under the table.
*I could vocally hear Ashton several times shouting for Joy over her own accomplishments and for the other children as well.
*I couldn't hear Linny but I could hear the teachers several times saying "good job Lindsey" about her cleaning.
*Lindsey would stand in the middle of the room doing nothing but watching everything around her.
*Ashton warmed right up to the two male teachers faster
*Linny had a massive poop :)

awww, freedom at church! isn't is lovely?? My kids love nursery. I have Holly and Travis in the same one and I go look in on them all the time too. It is so fun to see them in their own little element and to see how they are when you are not around. Nursery...what a fun milestone for your cute girls!

I am so proud of you - that you did not go back in. Teachers say if you leave them they get over their trauma. They have been taught well and are so darling. I love looking at the pictures over and over again. Grandpa seems to be getting weaker and weaker.

Love you all.
