I CAN DO THIS!

I ran into someone last weekend at a wedding who has two year old twin girls. I screamed when I hugged her! 1) because I was excited to talk to another twin mom and 2) because I wanted to know some answers and advice. We laughed about how crazy our lifes are and she agreed it's hard when moms with only one baby think they understand (I swear I don't mean ANY disrespect to those of you, really I don't) Then our conversation went like this:

Me: "HOW DO YOU DO IT?!!"
Julie: "....I still cry everyday."

Now you'd think this would discourage me. In fact I'm surprised it didn't. Instead, it gave me this calming feeling; deep down. I thought to myself "thats all I needed to hear, someone who really does understand and gets it." Then I had this surge of confidence...... I CAN DO THIS!

Shane fell asleep in the girls nursery rocking Lindsey
Oh I love this picture! I wanted to take a picture of Charayye and Ashy because I liked Ashton's face...so peaceful. After I took it I noticed she had her hand on Charayye pregnant belly. We just 'Ooood and ahhhhd' over it.

Ash of course with her hands UP while sleeping

Our little baby blue getting to be more smiley and less fussy.
Hurray!

It's so much hard work with one I can't even imagine two, and I mean siblings. I can't fatheme (if you know what word I'm trying to spell) twins! You are amazing!

P.S. I love the nursery! Post more pics! I love that we have the same crib too! I went back and purchased the dresser and bookcase. I was sad we didn't get them but now we have a complete set! YAY!

Truly looks like you guys are doing so good and I know You can do it! I totally understand how hard it is! I have a 23 month old and twins! It is a challenge to say the least. One thing that I do everyday is just tell myself I can do it and say a prayer! It really helps. haha! I hope everything is still going well for you!

Tru, you're such a good mom I know it, and those two are so lucky to have you. I'm glad that you were able to have a conversation with someone that you can relate to.

And I know things will get easier. Life on the occasion does let up.

Oh, Truly I am just imagine how hard it is with the two of them. I wish I lived closer to you, so I could come help you out. Just keep telling yourself you can do it, because YOU CAN! (easy for us all to say right) Well I know you are an amazing woman and with all the hoops you had to jump through getting pregnant and while being pregnant, this is another that you can get through. Good luck Truly.

Truly-

Oh my gosh! I am so glad you posted this, I am also struggling and barely have enough time to send this reply but, as of late my life has completely been flipped up side down. I recently bought another gold fish to add to my fish bowl, and now I have a total of two. I honestly can testify that my life is so much harder now! but now, since I read your post "I believe I can do it."

Thank you so much!

You "truly" are inspiring.

Truly....you don't know me, but i know your sister and saw her post about twins and had to read your blog.
I have twin boys! You are right no one understands like another Mom of twins. Hang in there, it does get better. I found by being a little strict and keeping them on a schedule I kept my sanity. Granted our family didn't do much of anything but twins for the 1st year of their lives. But it does get easier and so fun to watch them grow and interact.
I completely understand your anxiety about taking them out, but once I did it and realized we all survived it slowly got easier.
Hang in there and know you are doing a great job! Congratulations!

Truly, what a good post. I love that you express how hard this is for you. Yet, you put such a positive spin on it all. The twins are getting so big. And I love how stylish they are in every picture.
I also wanted to let you know that I'm pregnant. You'll have to tell Dr. Richards, seeing as he is the one who referred me to this doctor. I can't believe the artificial insem worked. Thank you so much for being so inspiring in all you post. You have really helped me through the infertility trial.

I guess he was friends with your sister in high school, small world:) anyways we have 10 month old twin boys from IVF #2, crazy ride right!?! We had them at 29 weeks after being on hospital bedrest for 2 weeks, one of the sacs ruptered, they were just anxious to join the party i guess, little stinkers:)
It is the HARDEST but most fulfilling job ever, especially after wanting them for SOO long!!

A positive attitude will take you sooo far! You can do this or Heavenly Father wouldn't have given you such a responsibility. Remember He is with you through it all!
