The US Open at Pebble Beach....
was quite the dream come true. I say that because not only were we there but the tournament was literally in our front yard and we had thee best seats in town. When I ran inside to grab snacks I saw plays on the TV, which was LIVE even, but I knew what was going to happen because I'd already seen it from the front porch. Grandma White has the best piece of land on the entire golf course as her property covers two holes. On the patio we were able to see the players chip in on the 14th. Then from the side of the backyard fence is the tee off on 15. If we were following a particular player we'd watch them chip in on 14 then run through the kitchen and out the back door to see the same guy tee off on 15.
I have a few videos to share....they're all short but they might be boring to some of you.
I CANNOT believe I didn't get caught videoing on the back fence!!!
THIS VIDEO IS THE VIEW FROM THE FRONT
TIGER ON 14
GRAEME MCDOWELL ON 15 & US AT THE FENCE
He was the last golfer in the tournament and the leader
Nice guy- happy he won.
PHIL ON 14.
not that I care much for him
TIGER AT THE FENCE TEEING OFF ON 15.
AND P.S...
HIS TEETH AREN'T AS WHITE AS YOU THINK!
(I know, I was disappointed too)
I couldn't get many pictures during the tournament as there were metal detectors at all the entrances. We were really lucky one of the days as we somehow walked onto the course with my iphone. Everyone else's phones were sitting in a bin- there were tons of iphones in it...like I said, lucky! However we were able to take as many pics as we wanted from the front patio at the house. Hence the pic below

At the back fence on hole 15. One of the Marshals took this when there was a gap between players. They loved us. We passed out hot chocolate and tea. It was kind of cold!
