I feel like each holiday that comes around I say its my favorite one. Easter really is a close second to Christmas for me. I always feel spiritually in-tune at Easter time as it naturally draws me closer to Christ. I love the feeling. I long for the ultimate blessing of the atonement- to become one with him. I long to be in his presence and to be called, individually, by name as he welcomes me home. My salvation depends on believing and in accepting the atonement. I am so grateful for this unfathomable and infinite gift that goes beyond the comprehension and knowledge of any mortal man. On the other hand, this was such a fun year too because my girls were all about it! They loved the eggs and the bunnies and the colors and candy!!
Easter Morning
Lindz was so happy she didn't know what to do with herself! I wish I had a picture of Ashton when she screamed as she held the giant bunny.
The pre-easter egg hunt!
We were in the backyard all morning having breakfast and hiding easter eggs. Oh my gosh the weather was absolutely heaven and we had over 300 eggs to hide for only 7 kids. haha but I insisted we hid them all. My dad and Keith were on the side of the house spray painting the "golden egg" and a few silver eggs. Those were obviously very special with big surprises in them. This year we painted a few eggs black and loaded those ones with rocks or tree bark. It was so fun. Lindsey was in her own world having a great time. Each egg that she saw us hide she'd pick up and eat the yummy candy out. She knew she wasn't supposed to do this. After several unsuccessful attempts of telling her no, I found her hiding behind this post below eating the candy out of an egg as fast as she could. Of course I snapped a pic and tried not to laugh as I took it away.
Family Photo.
My mom is the reason we grew up loving each and every Holiday. She always got into them. From the decorations down to the dinner menu... everything was always so special. This year she bought all the grandkids matching outfits. Colors were green and purple. She went to many stores and shopped online to get all the right sizes and colors.

Later that night we tried getting a picture of the three little ones outside by the fire and nobody, especially Ashton, was having it. It was so sad and funny at the same time.
The rest of the Arizona trip.
Pictures are in no particular order.
The lady bugs were SO happy to see daddy when he came back from golfing!!

decorating the backyard trees for Easter with papa.
On Saturday we visited the Queen Creek Olive Mill. It was fantastic. I highly recommend it and hope to go back when we're in town next just for the lunch! We planned on taking the tour but Ashy and Linny had something else in mind that didn't involve being quiet for any amount of time.

This lunch really was to die for. The olives were so tastey and the dip, sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts were amazing!
I laugh every time I look at these next pictures. Lindsey is known for making some of thee funniest faces. She never disappoints!
Later that day back at the house, Rachel's 7 kids were waiting for us to play. I have a special place in my heart for Taylor. I always have and I can't describe it but I just do. She is great with my girls and we cannot wait to have her come visit this summer.
Below the littles are eating oranges just the way papa made them for their mommy growing up. Dad!...when the girls get a little bigger you have to make them fried rice with hotdogs in the shape of a bell.
"Ohhh Oh Girls just a-wanna have funnnnn!!"
eating their popsicles

Tubby time with cousin Van. The girls have messy yogurt all over their faces. They love eating yogurt every night before baths because we let them feed themselves and get it anywhere they want. It's a real treat.
Arizona was so fun, as always. Getting to go back home is like being 5 years old again at Disneyland with mickey mouse ice cream ears. It never gets old and this past vacation was one of the best ones yet. My family is so good to my kids and nothing makes me happier. Here we are at the airport. We had plenty of time before our flight left so we hung out in Starbucks and ate snacks. The girls were so excited about running back and forth between the couches and believe it or not they actually fell asleep the last 20 minutes of the flight after they threw everything they could find at anyone they could see. Lindsey took my water and dumped it on the mans head in front of me and Shane had to take Ashton in the bathroom where they could hide while she cried it out. I felt like we needed to pay people for putting up with us LOL it was exhausting and it really was so funny when some people, in good humor, clapped as we walked off. Overall it really wasn't that bad. I was proud of the girls. I love them so much it makes me crazy.
